Shipping Policy

Where We Ship

We ship Australia-wide to all states and territories. At this time, we do not offer international shipping.

Processing Time

Orders are processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Orders placed after 12pm AEST or on weekends/public holidays will be processed the following business day.

Delivery Timeframes

Once dispatched, estimated delivery times are:

  • Sydney Metro: 2–4 business days
  • NSW Regional: 3–5 business days
  • Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth Metro: 3–5 business days
  • Other Australian locations: 5–10 business days
  • Remote/Rural areas: 7–14 business days

These are estimates only and may vary due to courier delays, peak periods, or circumstances beyond our control.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight. We offer:

  • Standard Shipping: From $9.95
  • Express Shipping: From $14.95
  • Free Shipping: On orders over $100

Free store pickup is available from our Mount Druitt location:

How it works:

  • Select "Store Pickup" at checkout
  • You'll receive an email/SMS when your order is ready (usually within 24 hours)
  • Collect your order during our opening hours
  • Bring your order confirmation and photo ID
  • Orders not collected within 14 days may be cancelled and refunded (minus a 10% restocking fee)

Store Hours:
Monday – Wednesday: 9am – 6pm
Thursday: 9am – 7pm
Friday – Saturday: 9am – 6pm
Sunday: 9am – 4pm

Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive an email with tracking information. You can track your order directly through the courier's website.

Lost or Damaged Packages

If your package is lost, damaged, or hasn't arrived within the estimated timeframe, please contact us at info@theuniversalbarbershop.com within 14 days of the expected delivery date. We'll work with the courier to resolve the issue and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

Incorrect Address

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We are not responsible for orders delivered to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If you notice an error after placing your order, contact us immediately at info@theuniversalbarbershop.com and we'll do our best to update the address before dispatch.

Returns & Exchanges Policy

Our Guarantee

At The Universal Barbershop, we stand behind the quality of our products and services. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

Haircut Satisfaction Guarantee

Love your cut or you don't pay. If you're not satisfied with your haircut, let your barber know before you leave the chair and we'll make it right – or you don't pay. This guarantee applies to haircut services booked through Fresha or walk-ins at our Mount Druitt location.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if a product:

  • Has a major fault or defect
  • Is not of acceptable quality
  • Does not match the description, sample, or demonstration
  • Does not do what it is supposed to do
  • Is unsafe

These rights apply regardless of our store policy and cannot be excluded. For faulty products, you may choose between a refund or replacement for major failures. For minor faults, we will repair the product within a reasonable time or offer a replacement or refund.

Change of Mind Returns

While we are not legally required to accept returns for change of mind, we offer a 14-day change of mind return policy as a gesture of goodwill. To be eligible:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and in its original condition
  • All original tags and packaging must be intact
  • You must have proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
  • The return must be initiated within 14 days of receiving your order

Note: For change of mind returns, original shipping costs are non-refundable and return shipping is at your expense.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

The following items cannot be returned for change of mind (but may still be returned if faulty):

  • Underwear and swimwear (for hygiene reasons)
  • Items marked as final sale or clearance
  • Gift cards
  • Custom or personalised items
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered

How to Return an Item

  1. Step 1: Email us at info@theuniversalbarbershop.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  2. Step 2: We'll respond within 2 business days with return instructions and a return authorisation number.
  3. Step 3: Pack the item securely in its original packaging (if possible) and include your return authorisation number.
  4. Step 4: Ship the item to us (or drop it off at our Mount Druitt store during opening hours).
  5. Step 5: Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll process your refund or exchange within 5 business days.

Refund Method

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Exchanges

If you'd like to exchange an item for a different size or colour, please follow the returns process above and indicate your preferred exchange item. Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If your preferred item is unavailable, we'll offer a refund or store credit.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage. We will cover the cost of return shipping for faulty items and provide a replacement or full refund (including original shipping costs) at your choice.
